Wombat Stew
Wombat Stew (Vaughan & Lofts, 1984) is a classic Australian children’s book that has stood the test of time. This amended version is a musical play. I have used it many times, always with great feedback and hilarity. It was originally compiled with a multigrade class in mind but can be nuanced to address any age and your particular classroom needs.

“Read a book” theme song
This lively musical text was written and performed by Shayne and Juliet Taylor (2019). The audience is teachers and students K/P-6, and purpose is to introduce English and musical activities in the classroom. It could be used to teach the English concept of perspective: students learn that opinions about texts represented in the song can be shared, developed and questioned.
